An anonymous source revealed that the new Chromecast TV stick supporting Google TV 4K will come with a redesigned remote control.

Based on findings from developer Mishaal Rahman's exploration of the Android TV 14 Beta code last year, this remote control is expected to feature four circular buttons on the left side, with a rounded rectangular button sandwiched between two circular buttons on the right side; there's also a new star-shaped button at the bottom.

The previous generation Chromecast TV stick supporting Google TV 4K was priced at $49.99, featuring a 12nm Amlogic S905X3 processor, 2GB of RAM, and 8GB of storage space, currently running on the Android 12 operating system.

The new Chromecast is anticipated to support the Android TV 14 operating system and come equipped with the Amlogic S905X5 processor. This processor adopts a 6nm process and supports AV1 decoding.

With these updates, the new Chromecast TV stick promises improved performance and enhanced features, providing users with an upgraded streaming experience.
